Music at Vancouver’s WISE Hall Feb. 25
I didn’t make it to yoga last night – but I did make it out to the WISE Hall after my son was asleep and under the care of stepdad Dave and houseguest Al (who were sitting around reading books).
My brother Bob invited me to Spoon River’s CD Release show at the WISE Hall. It was intense – kind of like the Band, with Neil Young-ish guitar moments, amazing slide guitar, great vocal harmonies, passionate harmonica, interesting lyrics, and it was cool to see our pal Chris on bass.
Bob told me Spoon River had good reviews this month from Georgia Straight music writer Mike Usinger and another by Adrian Mack in Guttersnipe.
Show at the Wise Hall Thurs Feb 25
Next week, on Thursday Feb 25, there’s another show I want to see at the WISE hall. It’s “A Night of Champions” – Carolyn Mark, Luther Wright, and Pigby – the duo of Paul Rigby and Paul Pigat.

Hi Susan,
I am a friend of Bob and Chris and also manage Spoon River. Just wondered if I could use your photo on our myspace page and facebook pages. It is a great shot of the band.
Cheers,
John
Please do John. Thanks. It’s just a little iPhone – but they take decent shots don’t they?
