Today our friend Michael asked my son to change his bike tire. Michael often suggests fun “chores” like this when we visit, and I’m thankful for what my son learns.

I’m glad the boy had a chance to review tire-patching because we’ve got some cycling adventures on our calendar. Now my son can be the designated tire-changing guy if we blow a flat.

Mike is one of the guys I mentioned a few weeks ago in “A community of dad-like guys helps keep the boy happy.”

They deflated the tire, removed the tube, found the hole, patched it, held the patch in place, put the tube and tire back onto the wheel.
