April 16, 2010
By Susan Main

I’m a self-employed mom of a home learning kid – so being mobile is very important to me. I often work in my car on my Mac laptop, which is where I took the picture for this post, using PhotoBooth. I use my iPhone to tether my lap top, and I should probably take...

She’s a self-taught gourmet who taunts the Twitterverse with delectable details of what she’s whipping up in the kitchen. Now people 11 and up can sign up for Steff’s one-on-one Cooking For Kids (and Adults). Check out...

This is the lowest number of people sleeping on the streets since 2002...

March 21, 2010
By Susan Main

In light of the recent panel discussion I wrote about, I’d like to explore the idea of what makes a good panel discussion. The focal point of a panel discussion ought to be the panelists – the experts invited to share their knowledge and experience on a particular topic. We need to have good,...

The main reason I love Twitter

March 18, 2010
By Susan Main

It’s not because I want to sell stuff to people, and I’m not looking for a job. Sure I’m open to new writing contracts (even though I’m really busy these days) but that’s not why I’m on Twitter. I love Twitter because I love people and their stories – not to mention the jokes,...

February 25, 2010
By Susan Main

I love the exciting feeling when you see your raffle ticket numbers correspond with the numbers spoken aloud. Yay! And now that I’m a mom, I can send my son to collect the prize, because I have a shy streak in such situations. Last night my son and I went to the Grand Finale...
